Introduction:
Online Silicate Analyzer measures the silicate content in demineralized water, boiler feedwater, steam and condensate in thermal power and chemical plants, and can also monitor wastewater and drinking water....
The instrument can be widely used to monitor the silicate content of demineralised water, anion exchanger outlet water, boiler feed water, saturated steam, condensate, main steam, drain water and cooling water in thermal power plants, cogeneration plants, chemical and chemical fibre industries. It can also be used for the automatic determination of related components in sewage and drinking water, monitoring water and steam quality promptly and accurately to ensure the safe and economical operation of generating units.
The silica meter can analyse up to 6 different water samples, and sample flows from as low as 50 mL/min up to 1,000 mL/min are handled well, so the sample is always renewed quickly. The sample is fed into a colour cell that combines mixing, reaction and colorimetric measurement, where the silica in the sample reacts with molybdate under acidic conditions to form a yellow silicomolybdate complex. The reaction time is relatively long; oxalic acid is then added to avoid interference from phosphate and to deepen the colour, and a reducing agent converts the yellow silicomolybdate complex into a blue silicomolybdenum blue complex whose colour is proportional to the silica content.
1. Reliable sample-interruption detection, overcoming the drawbacks of infrared sensors that become dirty easily and reed-switch sensors that fail after long use, making the measured value more reliable.
2. Accurate reagent detection with timely prompts for reagent replacement and calibration, ensuring timely and accurate measurement.
3. Automatic calibration greatly ensures measuring accuracy and overcomes measurement errors caused by reagent deterioration.
4. Very low maintenance cost; replacement parts are inexpensive.
5. Effectively solves inaccurate measurement caused by ambient temperature changes, especially insufficient reaction at low temperature.
6. A proprietary chemical system solves the crystallisation of ammonium molybdate and the deterioration of the reducing agent, extending reagent life.
7. Effectively solves the inconsistency of reagent dosing caused by reagent level changes, making the measurement more accurate.
8. The measuring interval can be set freely, greatly saving reagent and lowering cost.
9. The range switches automatically within 0–200 μg/L, widening the scope of application.
10. Automatic cleaning keeps the meter free from crystallisation and blockage, allowing long periods of trouble-free operation.
11. Accurate measurement even when the sample has some colour and turbidity, without interference.
12. Imported electrical components and parts are used for the control and circuit sections, so they are never the weak link of the instrument.
