The portable water quality biological toxicity detector is a new generation of biological acute toxicity analyzer for laboratory use. It is a toxicity detection system based on bioluminescent sensing technology. It performs qualitative and quantitative detection based on the changes in the luminous intensity of luminous bacteria during metabolism. Compared with traditional fish, water fleas and other aquatic organisms as biological detection methods, the luminous bacteria method is simple, rapid, sensitive, adaptable, repeatable, accurate, low-cost and widely used. 3. Detection principle:
The portable water quality biological toxicity detector performs dual functions: toxicity testing and determining microbial contamination; toxicity testing is performed using luminescent bacteria that exist in nature. This bacteria emits light during normal metabolism. If placed in a toxic environment, their cell respiration process is affected, resulting in a decrease in the amount of light. The luminescence detector measures the amount of light emitted by the luminescent bacteria before and after exposure to the toxic environment. The degree of reduction in the amount of light corresponds to the strength of the toxicity. The test results can be compared with the standard toxic substances HgCl2 or zinc sulfate heptahydrate to obtain the corresponding toxicity level.
